Cecilia Arditto, composition and magic lanterns

She was born in Buenos Aires, 1966. She  studied music at the Conservatorio Julián Aguirre, Centro de Estudios  Avanzados en Música Contemporánea (CEAMC) and Conservatory of Amsterdam (cum laude); she took composition lessons in Argentina with Gabriel Valverde and Mariano Etkin; analysis with Margarita Fernandez among others. 

Prizes and stipendia: First Composition Prize CCRR-CEAMC 1996, "Buenos Aires No Duerme¨ Prize 1998, Mention Concurso Radio Clásica, Concurso de Composición CEAMC-Arditti String Quartet, Antorchas Scholarship for two consecutive years, Fondo Nacional de las Artes Prize, etc. Her music was selected for the "3rd Forum International de Jeunes Compositeurs de l'Ensemble l'Aleph, France, the "Boswil International Composition Seminar", Switzerland and the "Music at the Anthology Festival" in New York for two editions. She was guest from Borealis festival in Norway and Festival Rümlingen in Switzerland.

She was granted a residential grant at the Camargo residence for artists in France and was guest composer at the Udk, Berlin in two opportunities.She got comissions from the NFPK, and Orgelpark, Holland.Her music has been performed in Latin-American, USA and Europe. Her music is published by Edition Plante, Berlin.

Since 2012 she is a certified Bikram yoga teacher, giving yoga lessons all over the world together with her music activities.

Adriana Montorfano, flute and sound objects

She was born in Río Negro, Argentina 1974. She lives in Figueres, Spain.
Adriana Montorfano has studied flute in Conservatorio Nacional " López Buchardo". Her teachers were Jorge de la Vega, Laura Falcone, Raúl Becerra y Margalit Gafni .

She pursued flute seminars under Mtro Roberto Fabbriciani, Félix Rengli, Helen

Bledsoe, Sophie Deshayes, Ingela Oien, Wilbert Hazelzet, Horacio Parravicini, Manfredo Zimmerman, Jordi Mora, Haydee Schwartz, among others.

Adriana played in the following orchestras: Orquesta Sinfónica del Coro Polifónico Nacional, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), Orquesta de la Casa de la Opera, Orquesta Sinfónica Baires , Orquesta Sinfónica de la XVI Oficina de Música de Curitiva (Brasil).

She has been a member of ensemble “L.V.” devoted to contemporary music , and Ensamble de los Seminars de Composición de la UCA  and Contemporary Music Ensamble " Compañia Oblícua (co-founder)" .

She performed in ensembles and as soloist in the main venues in Argentina: Centro Experimental del Teatro Colón, Teatro San Martin, Usina del Arte, Auditorio de la Biblioteca Nacional, Auditorio de Radio Nacional, Auditorio del Centro Cultural Recoleta, Centro Cultural Borges, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Museo Isaac Fernández Blanco.

She worked as a flute teacher in Conservatorio Superior de Música de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires " Astor Piazzolla", Universidad Nacional de las Artes, Conservatorio Provincial de Mercedes and Conservatorio de Chivilcoy.

She has a duo with composer Cecilia Arditto performing different projects  in Europe and Argentina. Actually Adriana works as professor at the Escola Municipal de Música de Vilafant and Figueres.




Foundation plan B

(Stichting plan B in Dutch) with base in Holland, works in the research and production of interdisciplinary events, exploring new formats in chamber music and studying the relationship between music with the visual world, theater, film and literature

As part of our task we are deeply interested in the production of events in semi-public spaces, within a medium size format were our habitual with the audience of a spontaneous spectators that in the established circuits never could have access to this kind of artistic experiences. Our goal is creating new strategies in communication between our artistic production and society.

Since four years ago, as part of our concert series “Muziek als…”, Foundation Plan B organizes a parallel line of events under the name Bonus track, that in addition to more traditional concerts, gives life to plentiful activities as interventions, installations, concerts in informal spaces.
